Today our employee spotlight is highlighting one outstanding team member by the name of James Cordero. We asked James about his experience with Lock & Leave so far and what he sees for the future.

1. What is your role/job title at Lock & Leave? Briefly describe how your role helps customers?

As an on-site manager for Lock & Leave, part of my role is to ensure all storage units are properly cleaned and well-maintained. I also spend time helping customers with any storage needs they may have.

2. How long have you been with the company?

I have been a part of the Lock & Leave family for approximately 2 years, but have been in the storage industry for over 12 years. I look forward to growing my career here at Lock & Leave and am excited to see what opportunities may present themselves in the years to come.

3. What do you enjoy most about working at Lock & Leave? 

The best part about working at Lock & Leave is the customer-centric experience we strive to create. The constant communication between the corporate office and on-site staff ensures that all team members are provided with the tools and resources needed to perform our job duties at the highest level.

4. Please share a positive experience you’ve had with a customer.

One recent event involved an out-of-state customer seeking storage solutions. After answering her questions, I was able to help her find the appropriate storage unit along with assisting her in renting a moving truck. The storage unit was the perfect size for all of her belongings, leaving her feeling extremely satisfied with her experience at Lock & Leave. As a result, she wrote a 5-star customer review online.

5. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? Any hobbies or pastimes?

I prioritize spending time with my children and doing various activities such as taking them to local parks, seeing movies, and going to amusement parks. I’m a firm believer that spending quality time with family and friends is the true source of happiness in life.

6. If you could describe yourself in 3 words, what would they be?

I believe that I’m a reliable, motivated, and insightful person that consistently treats every person with loyalty and care. If I can create a positive experience in one’s life—I’ll go above and beyond the call of duty to do so.

7. What have you learned about working at Lock & Leave?
